My free time

If you are reading, most probably I'm still on "vocation" and yet to receive a call yet. But if the jobs still pays, i got no complains hehe.

First of, let me introduce you my latest time filler besides lazing around clicking on my ASTRO(tm) laughing my arse off at American Idol or fumbling around with things curious things like Facebook or blogging.

It's called GunPla and his name, the RX-93 Nu Gundam. High Grade Universal Century (HGUC) 1/144 scale model.

Yeah man, it's an Action Figure.

It's a funny thing how I come about to get this model. I was actually looking for a SAZABI model which is just a big bad ass. Sadly his price was bad ass as well. So I got the next best thing, his arc nemesis V-Gundam (pronounce as Nu) because eventually Sazabi needs a playing mate when he is cheaper.

Sazabi giving V - Gundam a can of whoop ass

So here is a closer look of what's in the box for those who are smart enough not to fork out RM95 for a piece of "ACTION FIGURE"

Wow, that's a lot for a small robot.

This model has about 10 runners, which is more than my other model counted at 8 which is at a bigger scale. Bandai efforts into smaller scale details is remarkable.

The cool thing about this model as compared to my other models, it has lots of ABS plastic. It's suppose to be tougher and harder material compared the regular PVC materials used. Plus, it looks metallic! It surfs the purpose of being the "bones" of the model and looking more than a overly priced plastic model :P.

Yupe, looking shiny there

Another thing I've noticed, 6 of the runners seems to be in pairs. It's for the left and right side of the model which is the arms and legs. What a way to make production easier and cheaper ;).

Seeing double

Bunch of polycaps too. This is usually reserve for higher grades. High Grade (HG) model are actually more similar to B-grades being smaller than 1/100 scale models.

Another surprise I got is the head is completely in ONE piece! No more trying to use 2 fingers in getting the head together from 2 separate halves.

The model is about 30% completed. Yet to cover the panel lines or even sand paper the edges. Will keep an update of it and perhaps a little history of this robot. Till Then!
